Volunteer Registration
Welcome to DPYH's volunteer signup page! Our association relies on dedicated volunteers like you to help provide a positive and rewarding experience for our young athletes. Team Manager, Locker Room Monitors and Board/Committee Members are incredibly important to running our organization, and we could not do it without the help of people like you.
This sign up page is set up to streamline the volunteer registration process and keep track of the necessary documents required by USA Hockey for Team Managers, Locker Room Monitors, and Board members.
Who registers as a volunteer
What volunteer roles require registration?
There are three roles that require signup/registration each season:
- Team Manager
- Locker Room Monitor
- Board of Director or Committee Members

When to Register
When should I register to be a volunteer?
Team Managers and Locker Room Monitors are identified at the beginning of each season by the head coach for each team. These roles are identified following player team assignments. You should register on this page once you have discussed your role with the Head Coach for your player's team.
Board members can register at the start of the new season.
Volunteer Requirements
Steps 1 through 4 below are required by USA Hockey, WAHA, and DPYH to be complete prior to participating as a coach in on and off ice activities with the team.
Step 1
Register with USA Hockey
Registration with USA Hockey is required annually. There is no cost for volunteer registration.
Step 2
Register as a Volunteer with DPYH
Registering as a volunteer with DPYH is required annually.
Step 3
Complete Background Screening
Background checks are done through USA Hockey and required PRIOR to participating (on and off ice) with the team.
Background checks are required to be completed/renewed every other year.
USA Hockey has a fee for the background check. Save your receipt and send it to treasurer@dpyh.org for reimbursement.
Step 4
SafeSport Certification
SafeSport training can be accessed through your USA Hockey account and is required PRIOR to participating (on and off ice) with the team.
Safesport training must be completed annually.

Notice: Under USA Hockey Rules, all volunteers or employees who have routine access to children (anyone considered a minor) must consent to be screened by DPYH before he/she is allowed to have routine access to children in any DPYH program.
Please note: Failure to fulfill the requirements identified in the resources section of the website may result in not receiving volunteer credits and is up to the discretion of the DPYH board of directors.
